Web Browser

I love Mozilla Firefox! Some people think I am crazy for saying that-like my wife, but it works for me. I use it on my laptop and desktop computers at home for surfing the web and I use it for my school assignments as well. It is not like I have never used Internet Explorer. At work I use IE on my desktop. And if you are in Info. 1120 this year it is required in order to use myitlab which is great because being comfortable with more than one browser is a must these days.
I find that I like the familiarity with Firefox-you know like that comfortable old recliner that you can't ever replace. I also enjoy the plugins that I have with it: Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Flash, etc. I have a system for surfing the web with Firefox that works for me. I think the menus in Firefox are easy to follow and in a handy location, and I frequently make use of the bookmark toolbar.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. What works for some may not work for others. But when it comes to web browsing I prefer Mozilla Firefox.

  1. I will have to try Mozilla Firefox based on your recommendation. I have never been exposed to other operating systems so IE is my best friend. It is so great that you are familiar with both systems. For me Windows IE is as easy to use as Firefox is for you. Also, on a side note I have to say that it is really nice that you always post early!

  2. I have also used both browsers in the past. As I stated in my blog, I really don't find any significant difference between the two. I used Firefox a couple of years ago on an old computer that ran linux and was perfectly happy with it.

  3. Everyone says to try Firefox, but for some reason I just don’t. Like usual it usually comes down to personal preference as you stated above, but I think that you should give Google Chrome a try. Chrome it allows you to go “incognito” (their term, but wish I thought of it) which allows you to be browse without anything getting logged, which can be a nice feature if you’re worried about it, but most of all it is just a simple design, which is simple to use.

  4. I think Firefox is a decent web browser and to me is much like Safari. I think it works well with media websites were video and music is being used.I think if you the user friendly approach appeals to you google chrome would be a great browser to try.

  6. I do like Firefox as well, but you should give Chrome a shot. Most all of the plugins that you use with Firefox will be available on Chrome. Another great feature about Chrome is that I find the layout to be even easier yet to manage. It is very clean looking, with nothing on the browser there to distract you. I really like Chrome's flat and plain looking buttons rather than colorful ones.
